LIBRARY
The Personnel Committee received a memo from Kelly Collins, Library Director requesting a response to a series of questions she had regarding a retired employee and  two other occasional employees who were not scheduled regularly but who we called to substitute when needed.~  Ms. DiBugnara agreed to draft a memo to Ms. Collins informing her that since the employees have no prospect of any hours there shouldn’t be any concern with completing PAD’s for these employees.  Ms. Collins will be informed that if there is an absolute need to have a substitute employee, having exhausted all other existing resources, then the substitute employee should be compensated according to the job title and the job they are substituting for according to the Town of Bolton salary schedule.   The step is to be determined by the employee’s manager, who would then base the step rate based upon the employee’s job skills, experience, education and other qualifications. ~

PROPOSED COMPENSATION/CLASSIFICATION PLAN FOR FY07
On a motion made by Shapiro and seconded by Weiser, the Personnel Committee voted to approve the proposed compensation and classification plan FY07.

SICK BANK
The Committee reviewed the draft sick leave buy back policy prepared by Personnel Committee member Jay Wieser.  The Committee will continue to review and finalize this policy.  The draft will be shared with Town Treasurer Joanne Jenkins for her review and comments.

Meeting adjourned.
